Seal Coat Contract Furnish and place approximately 2,197 SY Asphalt Prime Coat; 2,197 Asphalt Surface Treatment; 10,295 SY Asphalt Seal Coat; 10,295 SY Asphalt Fog Seal and 350 Gal Asphalt Joint and Crack Seal. Performance bond and payment bond in the amount of 100% of the contract, as well as proof of worker's compensation insurance will be required from the lowest responsible bidder. Asphalt Prime Coat, E-1 Prime This work is the conditioning and treating of an absorbent non-asphalt base course or an absorbent existing surface with an application of emulsified asphalt Prime Coat E-1 Prime, immediately followed by an application of Type A, No. 8 course aggregate. All work to be in accordance with the Publication 408 Section 461, to be rolled according to section 470.3c. Supply and placement of the course aggregate is incidental to the Asphalt Prime Coat. Asphalt Surface Treatment This work is two applications of emulsified asphalt, with each application of emulsified asphalt immediately followed by an application of course aggregate. Furnish and place an application of emulsified asphalt material, CRS-2PM Polymer-Modified Cationic Emulsified Asphalt, immediately followed by an application of No. 67 coarse aggregate for the first application. Then Furnish and place an application of emulsified asphalt material, CRS-2PM Polymer-Modified Cationic Emulsified Asphalt, immediately followed by an application of Type A, No. 8 coarse aggregate SRL-L. All work and material in accordance with the current Publication 408 Section 480. Asphalt Seal Coat This work is the application of emulsified asphalt, immediately followed by an application of course aggregate. Furnish and place an application of emulsified asphalt material, CRS-2PM Polymer-Modified Cationic Emulsified Asphalt, immediately followed by an application of Type A, No. 8 coarse aggregate SRL-L. All work and material in accordance with the current Publication 408 Section 470. Asphalt Fog Seal For Asphalt Seal Coats This work is the treatment of an asphalt seal coat with an application of asphalt material and an application of fine aggregate. All work and material in accordance with the current Publication 408 Section 472. Asphalt Joint and Crack Sealing This work is the cleaning and sealing longitudinal and transverse joints and random cracks in existing pavement surfaces as part of routine maintenance and before placing a seal coat or an overlay. Use Rubberized Joint Sealing Material. All work and material to be accordance with the Publication 408 Section 469 All work and material must meet current Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Specifications Form 408 and its Supplements. Proposals must be upon the forms furnished by the Municipality. The Municipality reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
