Questions must be received no later than 12:00 PM on April 18th, 2025. BUSINESS EQUITY: The project is committed to providing an opportunity for participation in contracting local, small, and diverse business entities. Highline Public Schools has set a project goal of 10% minority business enterprises (MBEs), 6% women business enterprises (WBEs), and 5% public works small business enterprises (PWSBE), all state certified with the Office of Minority and Women Business Enterprises (OMWBE) Participation may be either on a direct contract basis or as a sub-tier trade partner or supplier. This project also has Federal Funding associated which includes goals to maximize DBE business participation. RETENTION: Skanska plans to obtain a Retention Bond for the project. Subcontractors will have the option of participating in the Skanska retention bond in lieu of having retention held. A bidder may withdraw its proposal by submitting a written request before the bid opening time. Skanska will return the proposal unopened after contract award. Those who do not participate will be held to the standard 5% retention. Skanska USA Building, Inc. reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any non-material informalities or irregularities in the bids received.
