Scope of Work: Conduct a safety study and provide recommendations for safety infrastructure improvements surrounding two schools, Painted Hills Middle School and Bella Vista Elementary School, located along Avenida Jalisco. The study must include at a minimum the following analysis. 1. Traffic data (current and future projections) 2. Historical accident data 3. Filed analysis of existing infrastructure 4. Field observation of traffic patterns during school peak hours 5. Field observation of pedestrian walking patterns during peak school hours. The study must evaluate and provide recommendations for the following minimum infrastructure improvements; 1. Installation of curb and gutter 2. Sidewalks 3. Street lights 4. Designated student drop off and pick up zones 5. Designated crosswalks 6. Striping upgrades 7. Signage upgrades 8. Bike Lanes 9. Stop intersections should stop sign warrant analysis be completed 10.Traffic signal installations, should traffic signal warrant analysis be completed 11.Any other safety infrastructure improvements .
