General Maintenance Services to Include Heavy Equipment With Operators, Including Labor and Equipment for Various School Projects (Such as: Tree Removal, Grubbing, Fill Dirt Leveling, Cleaning Around Retention Ponds, Etc.) for the Jefferson County School System. Bids Must Be Submitted on Proposal Forms Furnished by the Owner. Interested Contractors Can Receive the "Invitation to Bid" Including the Necessary Proposal Forms, by Contacting Tracie Busby, at 205-379-2215. Bids Shall Clearly Be Identified on the Exterior of the Envelope With the Bidder's Name, Address, Contractor's License Number and Type, Bid Number, Date and Time of Bid Opening. A Cashier's Check or Bid Bond Payable to the Jefferson County Board of Education in an Amount Not Less Than Five (5) Percent of the Amount of the Bid, but in No Event More Than $10,000, Must Accompany the Bidder's Proposal. Performance and Payment Bonds Will Be Required After the Award Since the Bid Amount is Expected to Exceed $100,000. Evidence of Insurance Should Be Provided as Required by the Bid Documents. The Owner Intends to Award a Contract for This Work to a Single Qualified, Experienced Contractor. The Owner Will Consider Proposals Only From Firms, Which Can Demonstrate Their Successful Experience and Ability to Perform the Work Necessary for This Project, as Outlined in the Invitation to Bid.
