Site work and outdoor lighting for a road / highway in Newport, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for outdoor lighting for a road / highway.
The City is replacing City owned streetlights with City provided LED streetlights. Question Submission Deadline:March 28, 2025, 1:00pm A. The work/installation service locations are categorized into three (3), namely: i. Jefferson Avenue, Harpersville Road Streetlight Replacement Locations. ii. Jefferson Avenue, 36th -25th Tear Drop Fixture Replacement Locations. ii. 39th Street Bridge Fixture Replacement Locations. Location details and specific installation requirements for each location are as contained in Attachments A, B, and C under the Attachments section. B. Contractor shall replace identified streetlight fixtures and items with City provided streetlight fixtures and items (See Attachment D, under the Attachments section). C. Installation of streetlight arms and electrical wire is required in a few locations as detailed on the Attachments. B. Contractor shall provide all labor and equipment required for the installation of all provided streetlight fixtures and items. D. Contractor shall be responsible for the removal of all existing fixtures and items requiring replacement. E. Contractor shall be responsible for the evacuation and disposal of all removed items and waste products. F. Contractor shall be responsible for the pick-up of all City provided streetlight fixtures and items from the City's Public Works Warehouse, located at 513 Oyster Point Road, Newport News, VA 23602. G. Contractor shall be responsible for and guarantees the safety of all fixtures and items while in its possession. H. Contractor shall promptly replace any broken or damaged items to ensure that the timeline for completion is strictly adhered to. I. All work shall be completed within 90 days from the date of order. J. Contractor will be allowed to turn off the streetlights power while working during the day at the safety switch or panel box. These must be left in the on position when work is done at the end of the workday. Questions regarding this Request for Quotes (RFQ) must be submitted in writing through the OpenGov Procurement Question/Answer Tab via the City's e-Procurement portal
