Reference Number 0000381148 Delivery Point: Chaffee County, Colorado The Chaffee County Landfill, located in Salida, CO, is a Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) landfill that is owned and operated by Chaffee County (Owner). The County is required to construct a new disposal cell this year based on their current disposal rate. Cell 7 is 6.6 acres in size and is located upgradient of Phase 2 Cell 6, which means that a leachate sump is not required to be constructed as a part of this project. The liner system for Cell 7 includes a geosynthetic clay liner and a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) geomembrane. In addition to connecting to Cell 6, the cell will also tie into Phase 1 of Cell 2, which is a compacted clay liner system.
