HVAC Maintenance and Repair - Imperial Wildlife Area - Rebid #3 Provide all labor, tools, equipment, materials, incidentals, permits and taxes necessary for bi-annual inspection, maintenance, and servicing eleven (11) Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) units, in accordance with the specifications, terms, and conditions contained herein. All inspection and maintenance work will ensure that the equipment continues to function properly and safely. Small Business Preference Section 14835 et seq. Of the California Government Code requires that a five (5) percent preference be given to bidders who qualify as a small business. The rules and regulations of this law, including the definition of a small business for the delivery of services, are contained in Title 2, California Code of Regulations, Section 1896, et seq. A copy of the regulations is available upon request. To claim the small business preference, which may not exceed $50,000 for any bid, your firm must have its principal place of business located in California, have a complete application (including proof of annual receipts) on file with the State Office of Small Business and DVBE Services (OSDS) by 5:00 p.m. on the date bids are opened, and must be subsequently verified and approved by OSDS. DVBE Requirements The DVBE Incentive, (Senate Bill 115, Chaptered October 2005, Regulations adopted October 2007) provides bidding firms with the opportunity to receive incentive calculations which may then place the bidding firm in line for the contract award when they elect to partner with California certified DVBE businesses. The bidding firm may receive a five (5) percent incentive. The rules and regulations of this law are contained in Title 2, California Code of Regulations, Subchapter 10.6. A copy of the regulations is available upon request. This solicitation requires a minimum DVBE participation percentage or goal of 3% The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW), reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any informality in any bid.
