**As of May 27, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The City of Pembroke Pines is seeking bids from qualified firms, hereinafter referred to as the Contractor, to paint the exterior of the Pembroke Pines Charter School West Campus. The main purpose of repainting a school that has gone without painting for years is to enhance its visual appeal and create a more positive, clean, and inviting environment for students and staff. Over time, walls and surfaces degrade, and new paint helps safeguard them from further damage, including wear, mold, and environmental elements. A Proposal Security shall be required, only for bidders that have a total cumulative base proposal amount that exceeds $200,000. Proposal Security shall be in the amount of 5% of the total cumulative base amount proposed. In the event that the awarded contract, not including owner's contingency, exceeds $200,000, two (2) separate bonds (Payment & Performance Bonds) are required, and both must be approved by the City. The penal sum stated in each bond shall be 100% of the contract price. The work shall be completed within 60 days from issuance of the City's Notice to Proceed (NTP), with an estimated start date of June 10th, 2025. Work must be completed no later than August 10th. The City of Pembroke Pines reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids or parts of bids, to waive irregularities and technicalities, and to request rebids. The City also reserves the right to award a contract on such items(s) or service(s) the City deems will best serve its interests.
