Scope of Work of the Contract includes - the Construction of Sanitary & Drainage Facilities for Tamarron Commercial. For construction contracts $50,000 and over, the bidder shall submit a certified or cashier's check on a responsible bank in the State equal to two percent (2%) of the maximum total bid amount. Make the cashier's check or bid bonds payable to the Owner. Bid Bonds for five percent (5%) of the maximum total bid amount are acceptable for construction contracts over $250,000. The successful bidder shall forfeit bid security to Owner as liquidated damages if it shall fail or refuse to enter into a proper contract for the Work, including failure or refusal to furnish the Performance and Maintenance Bond and the Payment Bond required by the Contract. Bid security will be returned to all but the three lowest bidders within three days after the Bid Opening Time, and the second and third lowest bidders may at that time substitute a bid bond by a qualified surety for the certified or cashier's check. Remaining bid security will be returned after execution of the Contract. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any or all irregularities. No bid may be withdrawn until the expiration of 90 days from the date bids are open.
