The Project consists of the removal and disposal of approximately 100 square feet of asbestos-containing floor tile and associated asbestoscontaining floor tile mastic, 60 sections of asbestos-containing fitting insulation, 8,800 square feet of window systems, 16 square feet of transite sink, 55 square feet of transite fume hood lining, 850 square feet of transite table tops throughout the High School and 240 square feet of blackboard adhesive including removal of the non-asbestos containing blackboards. Each Proposal for the Project shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the form provided by the Contract Documents, drawn to the order of the Northern Lebanon School District, and in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the extended Bid Amount, as a guarantee that if the Proposal is accepted, a Contract will be entered into and the performance thereby properly secured. Attention is called to the fact that prevailing minimum wage rates as determined by the Secretary of the Department of Labor and Industry must be paid by the Contractors on this projects and that employees and applicants for employment shall not be discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or handicap. Each Bidder is required to meet the requirements of Public Works Employment Verification Act, Act 127 of 2012. The Northern Lebanon School District hereby reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all bidders, to refuse and reject any or all bids submitted, to waive any informality in bids received, and to accept the Bid, which is in the best interest of the Northern Lebanon School District, consistent with the laws affecting contract awards.
