"2025 Roadwork" for the following work: Base Bid: 10,090 SY of Milling various depths , 1,040 Tons of Superpave 9.5 mm, Scratch/Leveling Course, placed 120 LB/SY 2,770 Tons of Superpave 9.5 mm, Wearing Course, placed 180 LB/SY Additional Bid items: 1,240 SY of Milling various depths, 335 Tons of 2A Crushed Aggregate Subbase, 354 Tons of Superpave 19mm Binder, 140 Tons of Superpave 9.5 mm, Wearing Course, placed 180 LB/SY Additional Bid items: (Abington Heights High School Parking Lot) 4,033 SY of 6 Depth Milling , 1,089 Tons of Superpave 19mm Binder, 1,560 Tons of Superpave 9.5 mm, Wearing Course, placed 180 LB/SY South Abington Township will be acting as the primary contracting authority. The Contractor shall bill Abington School District separately for Additional Bid items (Abington Heights High School Parking Lot) if awarded. All materials and workmanship must meet the requirements and standards of PennDOT Publication 408 All bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the bid made payable to South Abington Township. The successful bidder will be required to provide a Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price within 20 days of the award of the contract. The South Abington Township Board of Supervisors reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all proposals or portions thereof, and to delete projects and or portions of the project depending on budgetary constraints and also to waive any technicalities deemed to be in the best interest of the Township. All paving must be completed by August 31, 2025, Liquidated damages will apply at the rate of $875 per day for each day beyond this date that the work remains incomplete.
