The Township of Abington is seeking a qualified Contractor by way of competitive bidding to provide all facilities, equipment, labor and services required to provide Bid 1: Direct-Haul Disposal or Bid 2: Disposal Services from Transfer Station. Each bidder must submit a bid incorporating a price structure based on a per-ton cost for the services requested for the period from October 31, 2025 and extending for five (5) years and two (2) months, with the contract term ending on December 31, 2030, with a three (3) year optional extension, in accordance with the bid documents and the subsequent award of a Contract by the Township of Abington. A performance bond shall be submitted by each successful Respondent within twenty (20) days after a Contract is awarded for direct-haul disposal services, in the amount of 50% of the price bid by the successful Respondent based upon the 2024 tonnage of the municipality and the five-(5) year period.
