Par (bldg. # 0105): the pennsylvania avenue residence hall (par) commons building has two hydraulic elevators - one public passenger elevator and one freight elevator. The scope of work in par includes complete modernization of the private freight elevator. The elevator has two stops that include the basement and level one. The elevator machine room is in the subbasement where elevator machinery is openly exposed to building utilities. The elevator is currently operationalrefer to division 01 of the technical specifications for a complete, detailed breakdown of the base bids and alternates for this project.Sherman hall (bldg. #0291): the sherman hall has one "Sidewalk lift" hydraulic elevator. The elevator has two stops that include the basement and the loading dock. The elevator lifts through a pair of bi-fold steel doors for full extension to the loading dock level. The machine room is in the boiler room, which is accessed via stairs, where elevator machinery is openly exposed to building utilities. There is a nearby freestanding fire rated elevator machine room serving another elevator in the boiler room.
