Project includes the renovation ot the men's and women's restrooms as well as converting an existing storage room into a private office. This work includes upgrading the men's and women's restrooms to meet ADA compliance, replacement of finishes, fixtures, lighting, and exhaust fans. Bid documents are available online. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: 1. The general scope work of the project is defined by the contract documents and consist of the following: upgrades to existing staff toilet rooms and conversion of storage into office space, which includes new finished, toilet accessories, door hardware, electrical and lighting upgrades, and plumbing alterations as indicated in the drawings and specified herein. 2. Remediation of asbestos containing floor tile. 3. There are two sets of diversity goals in place for this project: (1) A utilization goal of 10% MBE (Minority Business Enterprise) and 5% WBE (Woman Business Enterprise). Utilization goals refer to the percentage of work performed by MBE or WBE subcontractors on the project. (2) A workforce participation goal of 20% MBE and 15% WBE. Workforce participation goals refer to the percentage of minority and female individuals employed on a project. The City of Champaign, Illinois, reserves the right to reject any or all bids or portions thereof and to waive any formality or technicality in any bids in the interest of the City. The criteria for selection of the lowest responsible bidder are set forth in Section 12.5-38 of the Champaign Municipal Code, 1985, as amended and the bid documents.
