Renovation of a mixed-use development in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
This project, located at the City Hall / Courthouse, at 350 S 5th Street in Minneapolis, Minnesota, will replace the electrical bus-ducts throughout the building. Purpose & Description: The purpose of the project is updating the bus-duct over to a standard conduit system. This will allow the building to remain operational while the installation is performed. After the new piping is installed, the existing bus-duct will be removed. The Municipal Building Commission has included the bus-duct upgrades to construction activities over the past year, and this project will address the remaining areas. This project will span nearly every area of the building, apart from the 3rd floor, mezzanine, and other select areas where recent projects were completed. Construction: June 2027-June 2028 The project is included in the County 2026-2030 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of November 12, 2025, further details have not yet been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
