Scope of work: The Owen County Highway Department is receiving bids for asphalt resurfacing, wedge and leveling of the following roads in Owen County under the Community Crossings Grant Match Program 2025-1. 1. Pleasant View Road -- From SR 246 to Croft Road, 2462 Feet in Length, Width of 20 Feet. Estimated tonnage of 300 tons consisting of one and half (1.5) inch wedge/level and estimated tonnage 600 tons consisting of two (2) Inch layer of surface asphalt. Total estimated tonnage: 900 tons. 2. Pleasant View Road -- From Croft Road to W 100 N, 5261 Feet in Length, Width of 18 Feet. Estimated tonnage of 573 tons consisting of one (1) inch wedge/level. Estimated tonnage 1446 consisting of two (2) inch surface asphalt. Total estimated tonnage: 2019 tons. 3. Klass Road -- From Bethsedia Road to CR 300 E, 6657 Feet in Length, Width of 18 Feet. Estimated tonnage 725 tons consisting of one (1) inch wedge/level and estimated tonnage 1450 tons, consisting of two (2) inch layer of surface asphalt. Total estimated tonnage: 2175 tons. 4. S 1400 W --- From Sr 246 to Denmark Road, 5240 Feet in Length, Width of 18 Feet. Estimated tonnage 570 tons consisting of one (1) inch wedge/level and estimated tonnage of 1140 tons consisting of two (2) inch layer of surface asphalt. Total estimated tonnage: 1710 tons. 5. Holly Brooke Road --- From N 250 E to SR 67, 12,083.60 Feet in Length, Width of 18 Feet. Estimated tonnage of 1310 tons consisting of one (1) inch wedge/level and estimated tonnage of 2670 consisting of two (2) inch of surface asphalt. Total estimated tonnage: 3980 tons. 6. Pea Ridge Road -- From S 50 E to Timber Ridge Road, 12,513.6 Feet in Length, Width of 18 Feet. Estimated tonnage 1361 tons consisting of one (1) inch wedge/level and estimated tonnage 2722 tons consisting of two (2) inches of surface asphalt. Total estimated tonnage 4083 tons. 7. Freedom Road ---From US 231 S to New Hope Road, 7392 Feet in Length, Width of 18 feet. Estimated tonnage 804 tons consisting of one (1) inch wedge/level and estimated tonnage 1608 consisting of surface asphalt. Total estimated tonnage 2472 tons. 8. Freedom Road -- From Vilas Road to Braysville Road 2270.4 Feet in Length, Width of 18 Feet. Estimated tonnage 414 tons consisting of one (1) inch wedge/level and estimated tonnage 828 tons consisting of two (2) inches of surface asphalt. Total estimated tonnage 1242 tons. 9. High School Road -(located in the unincorporated town of Freedom) From W 500 S to Spring Street, 346 Feet in Length, Width 18 Feet. Estimated tonnage 38 tons consisting of one (1) inch wedge/level and estimated tonnage 76 tons consisting of two (2) inches of surface asphalt. Total estimated tonnage 114 tons. 10. Anderson Road --- From SR 46 W to Newport Road, 8200 Feet in Length, Width 18 Feet. Estimated tonnage 892 tons consisting of one (1) inch wedge/level and estimated tonnage 1788 tons consisting of two (2) inches of surface asphalt. Total estimated tonnage 2677 tons. 11. Country Club Road -- From SR 67.to N 250 E 3745.4 Feet in Length, Width 18 Feet. Estimated tonnage 412 tons consisting of one (1) inch wedge/level and estimated tonnage 824 tons consisting of two (2) inches of surface asphalt. Total estimated tonnage 1236 tons. 12. Freedom Road - From New Hope Road to Vilas Road, 7006.56 Feet in Length, Width 18 feet. Estimated tonnage 747 tons consisting of one (1) inch wedge/level and estimated tonnage of 1493 tons consisting of two (2) inches of surface asphalt. Total estimated tonnage 2240 tons. Project: The following specification apply to Project 1. Asphalt mix is 12.5 mm, Asphalt mix with a two (2) inch layer of HMA surface asphalt. Wedge/Level is an asphalt mix of 12.5 mm with a one and a half (1.50) inch depth. The following specifications apply to Projects 2 through 11. Asphalt mix is 12.5mm, Asphalt mix with a two (2) inch layer of HMA surface asphalt. Wedge/level is an asphalt mix of 12.5 mm with a one (1) inch depth. Each road and section have a specific project description. The construction shall commence no sooner that June 2, 2025, and conclude no later than August 31, 2025. Pursuant to J.C. 36-1-12-4(b) (6) bidders are required to provide a financial statement, a statement of experience, a proposed plan for performance of the public work and the equipment available for the public work. All statements shall be on forms provided by the Indiana State Board of Accounts (form 96). Bidders must include a Non-Collusion Affidavit, Employment Eligibility Verification, and a Drug Testing Program form with their sealed bid. Each individual bid proposal shall be accompanied by a certified check or acceptable Bidder's Bond made payable to the Owen County Auditor, in a sum of not less than ten (10) percent of the total proposal, which the check or bond will be held by said Owen County Auditor as evidence that the bidder will, if awarded a contract, enter into the same with the Owner upon notification from him to do so within 10 day of said notification. Failure to execute the contract and to furnish performance bond and payment bond to Owen County, Indiana will be cause for the forfeiture of the amount of money represented by the check or bidder's bond, as and for liquidated damages. Form 96, as prescribed by the Indiana Board of Accounts, shall be properly completed and submitted with bid proposals. The Owen County Board of Commissioners at their discretion reserves the right to waive any and all informalities in the bidding.
