The Cheatham County Solid Waste Department is Accepting Bids for Asphalt at the Convenience Centers Located at 439 Thompson Road and 3200 Highway 12 North, Both in Ashland City. Minimum Bid SpecifiCations Are Available by Calling the Cheatham County Accounting Office at 615-792-2037. Cheatham County Reserves the Right to Accept or Reject Any and/or All Bids. Any specific questions pertaining to this bid must be submitted via email to: marykathryn.deason@cheathamcountytn.gov The installation process for approximately 4700 square yards at a depth of 1.5 inches which involves laying a new layer of hot mix asphalt over the existing pavement surface. To ensure a smooth and uniform surface, the pavement areas will be cleaned, and a tack coat will be evenly distributed over the proposed overlay area to bond the new asphalt to the existing surface. A self-propelled paving machine will then install the new asphalt at the specified depth, which is a Department of Transportation approved mix. 3900 square yards will be applied at our Thompson Road facility and 800 at our West Cheatham Center
