Scope of Services The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to outline the requirements for Professional Custodial/Janitorial Services for various facilities owned and operated by the City of Palmdale (“CITY”). The CITY aims to secure a timely, consistent, and cost-effective custodial/janitorial contract with a single contractor, ensuring that office facilities remain clean and safe for both employees and customers interacting with the CITY. Other Details MANDATORY REQUIREMENT: State of California Labor Commissioner’s Office - Required Registration. Any entity that meets the statutory definition of “employer’ in Labor Code section 1420(e)(1) is required to register and provide in your proposal response proof of active registration to the City. Without proof of active registration, bid proposals received in response to this Request for Proposals (RFP) will be declined and not reviewed by the CITY. Notes The contractor is to be aware of the California Labor Code Section 1060 – 1065 regarding displaced janitors.
