Scope of Services The City of Palmdale is seeking bids from qualified and experienced contractors to provide as-needed temporary chain-link fence rental, installation, and removal services. Other Details All work shall be completed per City of Palmdale building, planning and public works codes. All items listed in this Exhibit J – Bidder’s Quotation Sheet and Scope of Work Section, unless otherwise specified, shall include all finish work, including all trim hardware, patching, and finish painting and/or staining to the immediate area of work. All overhead and profit should be included in each line item. Objective: The selected vendor(s) shall rent, deliver, install, remove, or relocate temporary chain-link fencing consisting of 6-foot-tall, 10 or 12-foot-wide framed panels. In areas where posts can be driven, the fence shall be supported by galvanized steel posts driven to a depth of 24 inches and wire ties, with a maximum spacing of 12 feet on center. In hardscaped areas where post-driving is not feasible, fencing shall be secured using wide, stable stands, each weighted with a full sandbag. All fence panels shall be securely fastened to each other using industry-standard temporary fence clamps to ensure stability and security. The city anticipates renting approximately 7000 linear feet of temporary chain-link fencing per year. Actual quantities may vary according to the City’s best interest.
