Renovation of a mixed-use development in Jackson, Louisiana. Working plans call for the renovation of a detention facility; and water / sewer project.

**As of May 20, 2025, bids were canceled. No definite date for the rebid.** The Contractor shall construct, install, and replace Treatment Plant Equipment and Grating for the Louisiana Department of Corrections (DOC). Unless otherwise specified, a lump sum bid is requested for the work shown on the plans and/or in the specifications. IF THE BID IS $50,000 OR ABOVE, a bid security must be attached (insurance company, bank money order, certified check or cashier's check made payable to "State of Louisiana") in the sum of 5% of the amount bid (including base bid and additive alternates, if any) and shall become the property of the Owner in the event thecontract and bond are not executed within the time set forth above. If a bid bond is used, it shall be written by a surety or insurance company currently on the U.S. Department of the Treasury Financial Management service list of approved bonding companies which is published annually in the Federal Register, or by a Louisiana domiciled insurance company with at least an A- rating in the latest printing of the A.M. Best's Key Rating Guide to write individual bonds up to 10% of policyholders' surplus as shown in the A.M. Best's Key Rating Guide, or by an insurance company that is either domiciled in Louisiana or owned by Louisiana residents and is licensed to write surety bonds. In addition, the bond shall be written by a surety or insurance company that is currently licensed to do business in the State of Louisiana. If the undersigned is notified of the acceptance of the above bid or bids, within 30 calendar days of the time set forth for the opening of bids, he agrees to execute a contract for the work accepted, in thestandard contract form currently used by the Office of State Procurement within 10 calendar days after notice from the Office of State Procurement. The undersigned further agrees, if awarded the contract, to execute and deliver to the Office of State Procurement at the time the contract documents are executed, a Performance Bond (made payable to "State of Louisiana - Department of Corrections") with Power of Attorney in an amount equal to the contract sum (100% of the amount of the contract) and agrees that this bond will be secured by a surety or insurance company currently on the U.S. Department of the Treasury Financial Management Service list of approved bonding companies which is published annually in the Federal Register, or by a Louisiana domiciled insurance company with at least an A- rating in the latest printing of the A.M. Best's Key Rating Guide to write individual bonds up to 10% of policyholders' surplus as shown in the A.M. Best's Key Rating Guide, or by an insurance company that is either domiciled in Louisiana or owned by Louisiana residents and is licensed to write surety bonds. In addition, the bond shall be written by a surety or insurance company that is currently licensed to do business in the State of Louisiana. Also, to be provided at the same time is a Labor and Materials Payment Bond (made payable to "State of Louisiana - Department of Corrections") in an amount equal to 100% of the contract amount The State of Louisiana reserves the right to revise this calendar. Revisions before the bid opening date and time, if any, will be formalized by the issuance of an addendum to this ITB. The Office of State Procurement reserves the right to reject any or all bids and in particular to reject a bid not accompanied by any required bid security or data required by the bid documents or a bid in any way incomplete or irregular. The Office of State Procurement reserves the right to waive any informality or irregularity in any bid received, deemed to be in the best interest of the State of Louisiana. Scope of Work: The Contractor shall construct, install, and replace Treatment Plant Equipment and Grating for the Louisiana Department of Corrections (DOC). Location: Dixon Correctional Institute 5568 Highway 68 Jackson LA 70748 Site Visit Contact: Will Bunch 225-634-6101 Specifications: o The Contractor shall construct and install new stainless steel bar screen and bolt it down to the concrete and hook force main to the bar screen. o The Contractor shall construct and install new stainless steel weir through for clarifier. o The Contractor shall construct and install new sludge returns and skimmers in clarifier. o The Contractor shall construct and install new stainless steel air header from blower's aeration. o The Contractor shall construct and install new stainless steel air drops with find bubble diffusers and valves along with necessary pipping and metals. o The Contractor shall install new duplex blower system complete with soudampening enclosure and control panel. o The Contractor shall replace all metal grating on treatment plant. o The Contractor shall replace influent pump station pumps, rails, base elbows, floats, valves, aeration system, and control panel. General Terms and Conditions: o Warranty if applicable o Work shall be performed Monday-Friday from 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.
