C4386 Lewistown High School -Parking Lot Paving 2025. Lewistown High School 15205 IL-100, Lewistown, IL 61542. Generally, the work includes replacing existing paving with new concrete at Lewistown High School. All Bidders areadvised that all work of this Cotract shall be subject to all applicable laws of the State of Illinois and the United States of America, including but not limited to the "Preference to Citizens (Illinois) on Public Works Projects Act"and the Wages of Employees on Public Works (Prevailing Wage Act). All Bidders shall submit and enclose with theirbid a notarized certification that the Contractor is not barred from bidding on the Contract as a result of a violation of either Section 33 E-3 or 33 E-4 of Article 33E, Public Act 85-1295 (Senate Bill 2002) effective January 1, 1989.Certification is in the Proposal Form in the Project Manual. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond in the amountof 5% of the Base Bid, made payable to the Owner, Lewistown CUSD 97. Bids not accompanied by a bid bond willbe rejected. The successful Bidder will be required to provide a Surety Performance Bond and Payment Bond, eachequal to 100% of the Contract cost on prescribed forms within ten (10) days after notice of acceptance is issued byOwner. Surety on bond shall be by a duly authorized U. S. Treasury Backed company licensed to do business in theState of Illinois, acceptable to Owner. The Contractor shall pay the premiums for these bonds. The Board ofEducation, Lewistown CUSD 97 reserves the right to reject any or all bids and reserves the right to waive anyirregularity in bidding, which in their considered opinion is warranted.
