Renovation of an educational facility in Lewistown, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade educational facility.
The work includes replacement of existing HVAC rooftop units at the south end of the building and temperature control work throughout the building complex. Bidders must submit a notarized certification that the Contractor is not barred from bidding due to a violation of relevant statutes, and bids must be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of 5% of the Base Bid, made payable to the Board of Education, Lewistown CUSD #97. The successful bidder will be required to provide a Surety Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each equal to 100% of the Contract cost on prescribed forms within ten days after notice of acceptance is issued by Owner. Surety on bond must be by a U.S. Treasury Backed company licensed in Illinois. The Contractor is responsible for premiums for these bonds. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularity in bidding. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty days after the opening of bids.
