The project is generally described as a 48,673 sf, three (3) story, masonry bearing wall courthouse. The project consists of rehabilitating and renovating the historic 1803 Circuit Court building and its 1935 addition located on Court Square. The scope includes the renovation of the historic Jeffersonian courtroom, the construction of a modernized courtroom, the expansion and full enclosure of the existing sallyport, and the creation of a secure, controlled entrance. Additionally, the project will upgrade the buildings mechanical, electrical, plumbing, security, and telecommunications systems. The renovation will preserve the courthouses historic character while incorporating modern enhancements to meet current functional, operational, and technological standards. A Bid Bond is required.
