The Rivanna Water & Sewer Authority (Authority) wishes to solicit bids from qualified contractors to provide sludge hauling from its water and wastewater treatment facilities located in the County of Albemarle. All sludge will be transported to the Moores Creek Wastewater Treatment Facility located in Charlottesville, VA. The selected Bidder shall furnish all labor and equipment required to perform the services described hereunder. Rivanna Water & Sewer Authority does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, sex, national origin, age or disability, or against faith-based organizations as defined under the Virginia Public Procurement Act on the basis of such organization's religious or charitable character. The contract award shall be for a term of 12-months beginning May 1, 2025, and ending April 30, 2026. At the end of the term, the contract may be renewed for (2) two additional 12-month terms with the mutual consent of the Authority and the Bidder. The frequency of hauling services requested in this Invitation for Bid (IFB) are determined by facility requirements and at times may require unscheduled service after hours due to emergencies.
