Superpave Road Program Questions Due Date: May 2nd, 2025, 10:00 PM EDT Installation of Superpave 9.5mm Wearing Course, approximately 3,625 TN (including alternates), including miscellaneous work, on various road. All bids must be made on forms furnished by the Township ) and must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, issued by a Surety licensed to conduct business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in the amount of at least (10%) of the total price bid made payable to the Township; and Anti-Collusion Affidavit. Bidder(s) must be PennDOT prequalified as a Prime Contractor for all bid items and shall verify compliance with the Public Works Employment Verification Act (E-Verify Program). Copy of prequalification must be included with all bids. All information must be submitted via the Program. The successful bidder(s) will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Insurance and Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of One Hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price with a corporate surety licensed to conduct business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and approved by the Township, in accordance with bid specifications. Award of Contracts, if Contracts are awarded, will be based on the Total Base Bid(s) or Total Base Bid(s) plus Selected Alternate Bid(s); and will be to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder for each project. Selected alternate(s) shall be at the sole discretion of the Township. West Rockhill Township reserves the unqualified right to reject any or all bids and waive any informalities. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Contractor will provide labor, equipment and material for installation of base repairs, and 9.5 mm Superpave Asphalt wearing course overlay mixture design at 1 1/2 inches depth (as directed); Inlet top repairs (where directed). Contractor is responsible for milling at all paving joints including intersections, structures, curbs, and paved driveways; and seam sealing at intersections, structures, curbs, and paved driveways. Contractor is responsible for sweeping, tack coat, and traffic control. Township must be notified a minimum of five (5) working days prior to start of work. All work must be performed as directed by the Township. Supply all material and labor for milling, base repair, leveling and wearing course. Replace all pavment markings in kind with thermoplastic paint. All work will be in accordance of the PA-DOT Publication 408 (2020 Change #7) as directed by Tredyffrin Township.
