the West Virginia Scenic Trails Association with funding provided by the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Highway Administration's Federal Lands Access Program via the West Virginia Department of Transportation Division of Highways is accepting sealed bids from experienced trail construction contractors for the construction of a reroute of the multi-use Allegheny Trail southbound of Durbin in Pocahontas County West Virginia. The new alignment will be 0.67 miles with grades below 10 percent. Installation of grade reversals will improve drainage and reduce soil erosion to result in a safer experience for users.
