Demolition, site work and addition to a mixed-use development in Payson, Illinois. Completed plans call for the addition of a educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; for site work for a educational facility; and sidewalk / parking lot.
Work generally consists a 2900 sf addition to an existing building comprised of a new kitchen with walk-in cooler/freezer, a new classroom and an entry vestibule. Demolition and minor modifications to the existing building are part of the project. The new building will be constructed of concrete foundations, steel structure, CMU walls with brick veneer, and a new membrane roof. New roof top HVAC units are being installed also. The new kitchen will have new equipment installed. Plastic laminate casework will be installed in the classroom. The site work includes demolition, new asphalt and concrete paving, and new utility connections. The base bid includes all work shown on the drawings. Alternate bid A-1 is a deductive alternate bid to omit the classroom and entry vestibule portions of the work. Question Deadline 04/08/2025 Any prospective bidder who discovers ambiguities or is in doubt as to the true meaning of any part of the Bidding Documents shall promptly request Engineer for an interpretation thereof. Bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the TOTAL BASE BID. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the Payson CUSD #1 equal to this amount will be an acceptable Bid Bond. All work on this project can begin on May 28, 2025 and must be substantially complete by July 31, 2026. The Board of Education is Not Obligated to Accept the Lowest Dollar Bid And Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Bids or to Waive Any Informalities, Irregularities, Technicalities, or Defects in Any Bid Should The Board Deem It in the Best Interest of the School District to Do So.
