Renovation of a residential development in Norwich, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
General Property Rehabilitation at 78 Salem Turnpike Main House: Double hung windows (all) Window product equivalency - (Harvey, Atrium, or approved equal) Note: Window products must be provide in detail for review and approval by the Property Owner and Program Manager at or prior The existing windows are in poor condition, some of seals between the glass panes have broken, and they appear to be at the end oftheir life cycle. Remove all associated aluminum storm windows and dispose of. Remove the existing old double hung windows and dispose ofproperly. Note: Kitchen B side window and Bathroom window have already been replaced. Replace all other double hung with new vinyl/Composite replacement windows, double pane thermal glass. (Energy efficiency compliance per Local Building code) A-Side upper Side lights: Remove and replace the two upper fixed windows with new vinyl/composite windows. Matching diamond pattern between the glass. New windows to reproduce the Diamond pattern in the upper sash with an in-between pane manufactured option, safety locks, and half screens. Contractor is responsible for protecting interior stops for reuse or replacing in kind. (Include removing window weights and all associated hardware, insulating pockets with a fiberglass insulation product and blocking ofthe outer jamb as needed. *** Complete installation to include Prime and Paint ofinterior window trim and stops, to the extent required to maintain a finished and uniform appearance. This also includes Prime and Paint ofnewly exposed areas from the removal ofstorm windows.
