Davis School District requests bids for the Nutrition Services Department Cook-Chill Remodel and Equipment Upgrade. Plans and specifications will be available in the document section of this bid on or before June 10th. A certified check or bid bond not less than 5% of the amount of the bid, payable to Davis School District, must accompany each bid as a guarantee that, if awarded the contract, the bidder will promptly enter into a contract and execute such bonds as may be required. Upon award of a contract, the successful contractor shall furnish to the Owner a 100% Performance and Payment Bond. Electronic Bid Bond Submittal Instructions: Bid bonds may be submitted electronically by scanning the bid document form then uploading it as an attachment to your electronic bid. In the event a certified check will be submitted as bid security, the check must be received at the Davis School District Purchasing Department, P.O. Box 160440, Building G-4, Freeport West, Clearfield, Utah 84016 prior to the ending date and time set forth in this solicitation. Scanned copies of certified checks will not be accepted. The Davis School District requires that all contractors submit their proposed schedule for completing the Nutrition Services Cook-Chill Remodel and Equipment Upgrade. The contractor's proposed schedule must not interfere with daily operations, as this facility provides food production services for Davis School District and neighboring districts. While we do not yet have an outlined production schedule, one will be provided or discussed during the mandatory pre-bid walk-through. The contractor must be prepared to adhere to the final schedule and avoid disruptions to food services. Failure to meet the schedule could result in disqualification of the bid, even if the contractor is the low bidder. PRE-QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS Contractors must complete the AIA Document A305 Contractor's Qualification Statement. This form is located in the document section of this solicitation. Contractors who have not submitted a pre-qualification form in the past five (5) years or who have not conducted business with the District within the last five years are required to submit a new form. It is preferred that the form be submitted prior to the bid opening to expedite the awarding process.
