Renovation of an educational facility in Prattville, Alabama. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The required work consists of the following: The new interior building work will include but is not limited to; The complete renovation of multiple toilet rooms. This will include selective demolition of flooring, Plumbing fixtures, walls, ceilings & lighting. The new work will include new epoxy flooring, new walls & new finishes, new ceilings, new plumbing, new HVAC fans and new electrical work. Other interior work will include performing minor renovation work to corridor ceilings as needed to install new above ceiling mechanical & electrical work associated with the new toilet work. A cashier's check or bid bond payable to Autauga County Schools in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000, must accompany the bidder's proposal. Performance and Payment Bonds and evidence of insurance required in the bid documents will be required at the signing of the Contract. Performance Time: The overall project must be completed on, or before August 04, 2025. The anticipated "Notice to Proceed" is May 1, 2025, for the initiation of Shop drawings, Submittal Data and Product Procurement. Contractor's limited access to construction site will begin on May 1, 2025. Doc note: BDW Architects are not responsible for other websites that provide documents. Addendums will only be provided to entities that have registered with the architect. The architect retains ownership and the copyrights of the documents. If a bidder requires printed documents, please submit a request to the Architect (emartin@bdwarchitects.com) and include the companies name, name of contact, phone number, address along with a deposit of $175.00 per set. The deposit will not be refunded. Should any bidder observe any ambiguity, discrepancy, omission, or error in the drawings and specifications, or in any other bid document, or be in doubt as to the intention and meaning of these documents, the bidder should immediately report such to the Architect and request clarification. b. Clarification will be made only by written Addenda sent to all prospective bidders. Neither the Architect nor the Awarding Authority will be responsible in any manner for verbal answers or instructions regarding intent or meaning ofthe Bid Documents. a. In awarding the Contract, preference will be given to Alabama resident contractors and a nonresident bidder domiciled in a state having laws granting preference to local contractors shall be awarded the Contract only on the same basis as the nonresident bidder's state awards contracts to Alabama contractors bidding under similar circumstances. c. Release of Bid Documents by the Architect to a prospective bidder will not constitute any determination by the Awarding Authority or Architect that the bidder has been found to be qualified, prequalified, or responsible. c. In the case of inconsistency between drawings and specifications or within either document, a bidder will be deemed to have included in its bid the better quality or greater quantity of the work involved unless the bidder asked for and obtained the Architect's written clarification ofthe requirements before submission of a bid. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if, in the Owner'sjudgment, the best interests of the Owner will thereby be promoted.
