DESCRIPTION OF WORK: This project consists of the furnishing of all equipment, labor and materials for the construction of approximately 2,000 linear feet of decorative aluminum fencing around the perimeter of Main Square Park, including gates, decorative masonry pillars, concrete ribbon curb below the fence and PVC conduit for future electric. The work also includes removal of existing trees and relocation of existing benches in conflict with the proposed fence; rough grading along the park-side of the proposed ribbon curb to transition to existing grade; and all other related work and appurtenances : Each bid shall be accompanied by an acceptable certified check or cashier's check made payable to the Town of Highland or an acceptable bid bond in an amount equal to 5 percent of the total bid price executed by an incorporated surety company in good standing and qualified to do business in the State of Indiana. BONDS: A performance bond and payment bond, each in the amount of 100 percent of the contract price, will be required upon award of the contract. No bidder may withdraw his or her proposal within a period of 30 days following the date set for receiving bids. The Highland Redevelopment Commission reserves the right to retain any and all bids for a period of not more than 30 days, and said bids shall remain in full force and effect during said time. The Commission further reserves the right to waive informalities, and to award the contract to any Bidder, all to the advantage of the Town of Highland, or to reject all bids.
