Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Highland, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK: This project consists of the furnishing of all equipment, labor and materials for the construction of approximately 2,460 linear feet of 6-inch PC 350 ductile iron water main and 70 linear feet of 8-inch PC 350 ductile iron water main through residential alleys and a sideyard utility easement. The work includes removal of existing fences, landscaping and trees; installation of temporary fencing as needed along the project corridor; installation of sending, receiving and crossing utility verification pits; installation of water main, valves, fire hydrants, fittings and water services; resetting/replacement of fences and landscaping; restoration of disturbed areas of asphalt pavement, gravel, concrete curb and gutter, concrete sidewalk, and grass; and all other related work and appurtenances. Bids shall be properly and completely executed on the Bid Form (Section 00300) and must be accompanied by a completed Town of Highland Affidavit of Compliance, Indiana State Board of Accounts Form 96, Certification Regarding Unauthorized Aliens, signed copies of Addenda (if issued) and satisfactory bid security. BID SECURITY: Each bid shall be accompanied by an acceptable certified check or cashier's check made payable to the Town of Highland or an acceptable bid bond in an amount equal to 5 percent of the total bid price executed by an incorporated surety company in good standing and qualified to do business in the State of Indiana. BONDS: A performance bond and payment bond, each in the amount of 100 percent of the contract price, will be required upon award of the contract.
