Painting of Interior and Exterior of Jackson High School With the support of the Butts County community, we serve roughly 3,500 of Georgia's finest students at five schools. The System's board offices are located at 181 North Mulberry Street, Jackson, GA 30233. The Butts County School System is soliciting proposals for a contractor to provide necessary cleaning, preparation and painting services at Jackson High School. Prior to work, contactor is responsible for examination of present surface(s), testing and insuring that the paint will adhere and have a proper finish. This work should include all necessary equipment, materials and labor to complete all scope of work. The Butts County School System issues this invitation to bid for services at the following location. Work shall begin May 28, 2025 and be complete before July 12, 2025. All interior areas of the above schools - interior sq. footage is as follows: Jackson High School - 177,331 sq ft. Maps can be found at the end of this RFP Pre and Post Painting Moving all furniture from walls and away from any paint spillage or splatter and moving back to its original space Testing and examination of present surface(s), testing and insuring that the paint will adhere and have a proper finish. Contractor is liable for any damages Interior/Exterior Painting o Repainting school building interior as shown on attached drawings. o All interior and exterior metal door, door frames and door window frames will be painted on both sides, to include bus ramp areas. o All painting shall be brushed and rolled with two coats. No paint spraying equipment will be allowed. o Caulking around all openings in building (windows and doors) where caulk is missing and/or needs to be replaced. o Painting all hollow metal door, window and mechanical louver frames (interior and exterior - both sides of frames) o Removal of loose window caulking at all windows (interior and exterior, as required) o Caulk all openings where expansion shields, picture hangers or penetrating items have been removed. o Rope and caulk all control and expansion joints on interior of building o Caulk all expansion joints as needed o Paint all hollow metal handrails and guardrails, if applicable o Paint all previously painted concrete block and gypsum board walls, EFIS, bulkheads and ceilings. o First coat of paint shall be two shades darker than final coat to allow for inspection of first coat.
