Site work and outdoor lighting for a playground / park / athletic field in Jackson, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; and for outdoor lighting for a playground / park / athletic field.
The Butts County School System [herein after referred to as the System issues this invitation to bid for aqualified contractor to provide Baseball lighting for the varsity baseball field at Red Devil Hill. All proposals areto include for a contractor to disassemble and remove the present baseball lights. The contractor shall alsoinspect present infrastructure for use and provide new lights, install, and calibrate for optimal use. This workshould include all necessary equipment, materials and labor to complete the work as listed. Scope of Work: 1. General Specifications Light Source: LED, 5000K CCT (+/- 300K), CRI >= 70 Number of Poles: 6 (existing infrastructure) Mounting Heights: Based on existing pole height (to be confirmed) Fixture Protection: - Shatter-Proof Construction Required (e.g., polycarbonate lens or safety glass with protective coating) - Must meet impact-resistance ratings (e.g., IK08 or higher) Lighting Design Goal: Optimal visibility for play, safety, and ambient use. 2. Illumination Performance Criteria Infield: - Average Illuminance: 50 fc - Uniformity Ratio: 2.0:1 Outfield: - Average Illuminance: 30 fc - Uniformity Ratio: 2.5:1 Tolerance: +/-10% for average foot-candles. 3. Glare & Visual Comfort Glare Rating (G): G <= 40 Fixtures must include visors, louvers, or shields to limit glare. Fixture aiming should avoid direct light in the line of sight of pitchers, batters, or drivers. 4. Spill Light & Candela Control Avg. Candela at Spill Line (150 ft): <= 750 cd Max Candela at Spill Line: <= 1500 cd Design allows low-level light spill toward the back parking lot for ambient lighting. High School Baseball Field Lighting Plan 5. Fixture & Control Requirements Shatter-Resistant Fixtures required for all lights within spectator zones or foul ball range. Control System: Automated, programmable with dimming and remote override. Energy Efficiency: DLC Premium certified. Environmental Ratings: IP66 or higher. 6. Additional Design Considerations Uniform light coverage with no hot spots or dark patches. Compliance with local zoning ordinances for light trespass and glare. Soft ambient lighting zones for spectator areas and access paths. Field lighting integrated into any security lighting plan for parking or facility exteriors.
