Pool Renovations at Thornton High School for The Board of Education of Thornton Township High School District 205 South Holland, Illinois Work will be let under one general construction contract to the lowest responsible bidder. All bidders shall complete and submit to the office of the Architect an A.I.A. Document A-305 (Contractors Qualification Statement) for this specific project before receiving plans and specifications. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond, or a certified check payable to the order of the Owner, certified by a responsible bank for an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. A 100% Performance Bond and a Labor/Material Payment Bond will be required of the successful bidder, written by a Surety approved by the Owner. Not less than the prevailing wage shall be paid for labor on the work to be done as required by law. The successful bidder will be required to comply with the provisions of all State of Illinois and federal laws concerning public works projects, including the Illinois School Code, as well as the State of Illinois Human Rights Act and the regulations implementing administrative agency rules and regulations. The Board of Education, Thornton Township High School District 205, reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, waive any or all irregularities or technicalities in the bid, and award the bid in the manner that best serves the interests of the Owner as permitted by law.
