The project description and Instructions to Bidders are available at the Steuben County Highway Department, 1900 N 200 W, Angola, Indiana 46703.In addition to bid requirements noted in the Instruction to Bidders, each bid shall include an executed Contractor's Bid for Public Work Form 96 as prescribed the State of Accounts, an Employment Eligibility Verification form, an Indiana Iran Investment Certification, and a completed Bid Form. In addition, bidders are required to submit with their bid a cashier's check or bid bond made payable to the Board of Commissioners of Steuben County in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of their maximum bid. Once the Bid prices have been compared, Owner will return the bonds of all except the lowest responsible bidder. The Bid Bond of the successful Bidder will be retained until the Performance Bond have been executed and approved, after which it will be returned. A Performance Bond in the amount of 100 percent (100%) of the contract price, with a corporate surety approved by the Owner, and Certificate of Insurance will be required of the successful Bidder. .Questions or inquiries should be directed to the Steuben County Engineer, Charles "Chip" Porter, at 260-668- 1000 x 3600.
