The CITY-COUNTY of BUTTE-SILVER BOW, MONTANA (hereinafter CITY-COUNTY ) is seeking bids from firms qualified to install crosswalk pavement markings for 12 crosswalks in Uptown Butte. The contract documents contained in this Invitation to Bid covers activities associated with the 2025 Uptown Crosswalk Enhancement Project. The project is the installation of pavement markings at three (3) intersections, 1. Granite and Main Street, 2. Broadway and Main Street 3. Galena and Wyoming Street for a total of twelve (12) crossings. 1. Granite and Main Street The Granite and Main Street intersection will be modified by the Granite and Main Street Streetscape Improvements Project. The northeast corner of this intersection was modified with a concrete bulb-out during the construction of the adjoining building. Butte-Silver Bow has bid and awarded the modifications to the three remaining corners. This project will commence as soon as weather conditions permit. Attachment C, the Site Plan Overview (C1.3 - Sheet 6 of 17) from the Granite and Main Street Streetscape Improvements Project manual should be used for reference to the future modification of this intersection's sidewalk lengths. (Upon request, the project manual can be made available for review.) 2. Broadway and Main Street 3. E. Galena and S. Wyoming Street o A Traffic Control Plan is to be provided by the Contractor and reviewed and approved by the BSB Public Works Road Division before site mobilization. o Surface preparation and cleaning. o The pavement design location should be centered between the existing crosswalk bars. o Prime the pavement marking areas with 2-part primer. o Payment Pattern Specification o Install TrafficPatterns, by Ennis-Flint, pavement markings in accordance with industry standards, local regulations and the approved design. o Adhere the thermoplastic with the Ennis-Flint SR-120 heater for proper adhesion and add additional Corundum during the heating process to ensure good skid resistance. o Quality assurance and quality control measures. o Project documentation and reporting Questions pertaining to this Invitation for Bids (IFB) should be directed to Karen Byrnes, Director, BSB Community Development Department, kbyrnes@bsb.mt.gov.
