Installation of a connecting sidewalk with additional fencing listed as an add alternate. The awarded Contractor shall complete the work within 60 consecutive calendar days from Notice to Proceed. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any formality in the bidding. The bidder is required to submit a bid bond from a reliable surety company, payable without recourse to the order of the City of Temple, in an amount not less than 5% of the total amount of the bid submitted as a guarantee that bidder will enter into a contract within ten (10) days and execute all necessary bonds (if required) within thirty (30) days after notice of award of the contract to him. Bidders are encouraged to use the City's bid bond form. The City may reject bids which include bid bonds submitted on something other than the City's form if it determines in its sole discretion that the bid bond does not provide the same level of protection as the City's bid bond form provides. The City Council will consider the bids at their next regularly scheduled meeting at the Municipal Building in Temple, Texas, or as soon thereafter as may be reasonably convenient, subject to the right to reject any or all bids and waive any formalities.
