The Corporation of the District of North Vancouver (the “District”) invites Tenders from qualified Demolition Contractors for the demolition of the District of North Vancouver Fire and Rescue Service Firehall #2. The Building (Work Site) is located at 480 Mountain Highway, North Vancouver, BC. The Successful Bidder will be responsible for demolition and all hazardous materials remediation and disposal. Prior to commencement the Successful Bidder will be required to submit a work plan outlining all safety procedures and plans for containment and proper disposal of hazardous materials. All work must be performed in accordance with current Work Safe BC regulations. The Successful Bidder will be responsible for the coordination of the utility disconnects associated with this project. However, Fortis Gas and BC Hydro disconnections have been completed. The Successful Bidder will be responsible for obtaining any temporary service connections required. The District will be responsible for capping the sanitary, storm and water connections, and removing the fibre optic connection. A demolition permit will have been applied for prior to commencement of the work. The Successful Bidder will be responsible for satisfying the conditions of the permit, including but not limited to, controlling pests during construction, installing and maintaining site perimeter fencing, designing and implementing erosion and sediment control measures, maintaining tree protection as required and providing a traffic management plan and any Highway Use Permits required.
