Highway Pavement Striping for Martin County 2,300 gallons Reflective Yellow Paint F&A-Centerline & No Passing Zones 6,750 gallons Solid Reflective White Edge Line F&A LOCATION: Martin County Roads Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or corporate surety bond, made in favor of Martin County, in an amount of at least five (5) percent of the amount of the bid. The County Board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, portions, thereof, and to waive informalities therein, and further reserves the right to award the bids in the best interest of the County. This work shall consist of furnishing paint, labor, equipment and the placing of broken yellow centerline stripe, yellow no passing lines and solid white shoulder stripe for the season's requirements for Martin County. The successful bidder shall furnish all necessary signs on equipment for directing traffic during striping operations. Work shall be done as requested by the County Highway Engineer and it is probable that the work will need to be completed with two (2) or more separate mobilizations. No painting will be allowed during rainy weather or when the road surface is damp. The ambient air temperature must be at least 50 degrees Fahrenheit. The majority of the striping will most likely be done during the month of August, 2025. Martin County reserves the right to increase or decrease any item wholly or in part without adjustments in the Contract prices. The provisions of 1903 of the Minnesota Department of Transportation All work must be done in a neat and orderly manner. All alignments are to be straight and no waves or veers will be tolerated. If the Engineer deems it necessary to target the road in order to ensure good workmanship, it will be the Contractor's responsibility to do so. Any errors resulting from poor workmanship will be painted out and redone at the Engineer's direction. All cost of painting out shall be borne by the Contractor. A 6" broken yellow line shall be used for the centerline stripe. The 6" broken centerline shall be on a 50-foot spacing, 10 feet of stripe to 40-feet skip. A 6" solid yellow line shall be used to designate no passing zones. Edge lines shall be 6" solid white lines.
