The Concord School District is soliciting bids for mowing and general landscaping maintenance for our twelve separate locations in Concord, NH. The Concord School District owns 186.9 acres; however, the actual mowing acreage is less than 186.9 acres. Although the district is 186.9 acres, not all acres need to be serviced. There are large parcels of land in the Broken Ground and White Farm areas. These will not need to be maintained, unless a special request is made by the owner, ahead of time for the contractor to assess. Attached to this RFP are maps of the buildings and locations that need weekly mowing, mulch and tree pruning. Tree pruning, landscape mulching and "clean up services" are designated 2 times per season, spring, and fall. The proposal must include refreshing mulch beds either at the end of the spring season or before the first day of school. This decision will be made by the owner. All disposal of clean up debris is to be offsite. The lawn service also calls for weed mitigation before and throughout the summer. Any chemicals and pesticides used need to be done in the absence of students and staff, and an SOS sheet must be supplied to any materials used. Mowings may be required up to twice a week depending on the growth of the fields. We are looking for work to start in April 2025 and end in October 2025. We ask that all interested parties respond by email to Mary Wyatt at mwyatt@sau8.org if they want to participate in the bidding process. They will need to respond by Thursday, April 3, 2025. Bidders must submit one hard copy of their proposal to Mr. Matt Cashman, Director of Facilities & Planning, Concord School District, 38 Liberty Street, Concord, NH, 0330 l. (No phone calls accepted). We also request an email of the proposal in a PDF version on the same date be sent to Matt Cashman (mcashman@sau8.org) and Mary Wyatt (mwyatt@sau8.org). Proposals should be printed on 8 1/2" x 11" papers. Proposals may include pictures, renderings of and information to help explain previous or similar work. The Concord School District reserves the right to postpone or cancel this RFP or reject any and all proposals for any reason. Bidders must submit a Lump Sum fee for the length of service. Prices will not be negotiated after bid submissions. The contractor must understand that work beginning in April of 2025 cannot be invoiced to the district until July 1, 2025, or after. The set up of the billing cycle must be coordinated with the business administrator.
