The Base Bid improvements include the following: Removal of the existing playground equipment and safety mulch, removal of edger materials, underlying granular base, engineering fabric and subdrain, limited pavement removal, fence removal and reinstallation, grading and shaping, installation of storm sewer and subdrains, installation of concrete curb, furnish and installment of new play equipment, installation of installation of concrete base and poured-in-place safety surfacing, installation of overhead shade structure and site restoration. Alternate Bid Item No. 1 includes grading and shaping, fence removal and reinstallation, installation of subdrain and storm sewers, installation of granular base and engineering fabric, installation of concrete curb wall, and installation of synthetic turf system.
