Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Johnston, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a road / highway; and sidewalk / parking lot.
Base Bid: East Roadway: Removal of Existing HMA Road and abutting PCC Sidewalk and replacing with full width PCC Road. Alternate Bid No.1: West Roadway: Removal of Existing HMA Road and abutting PCC Sidewalk and replacing with full width PCC Road. Alternate Bid No.2: North Sidewalk: Construction of new PCC Sidewalk path Bids shall be submitted on the Bid Form and shall be accompanied by Bid Security as set forth in the Instructions to Bidders in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid amount. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond executed by corporations authorized to contract as surety in Iowa. This project is exempt from Iowa Sales Tax. Davis Bacon Wages will not apply to this project, however the Build America Buy America Act will apply to this work. The Iowa Department of Public Defense reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive irregularities and to accept a bid that is deemed in the best interest of the State of Iowa and the IANG.
