The general scope of work includes, but is not limited to: Base Bid : Removal of 3013 SY PCC pavement, placement of approximately 900 LF of subsurface drainage pipe, approximately 3000 SY of PCC paving including excavation and granular subbase, PCC flumes, and associated work. (All quantities are approximate.) Bids shall be submitted on the Bid Form and shall be accompanied by Bid Security as set forth in the Instructions to Bidders in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid amount. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond executed by corporations authorized to contract as surety in lowa. Any construction contractor performing work in lowa (including out-of-state contractors) must comply with Chapter 91C of lowa Code The lowa Department of Public Defense reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive irregularities and to accept a bid that is deemed in the best interest of the State of lowa and the IANG. This project is exempt from lowa Sales Tax. Davis Bacon Wages will not apply to this project, however the Build America Buy America Act will apply to this work.
