The types of contracts available under the MCC Program are construction projects, facility repairs, neighborhood improvements, emergency repairs and maintenance work with a maximum value of $5.0M; ORD 09-101. All capital departments are participating. Additional opportunities are available through Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) which enables low-income families to reduce their energy bills by making their homes more energy efficient. Funds are used to improve the energy performance of dwellings by families in need, using the most advanced technologies and testing procedures available in the housing industry. Measures to make homes more energy efficient include: replacement or installation of key components, installation of energy recovery ventilation systems including bathroom and kitchen exhaust fans and installation of whole mechanical exhaust systems to provide better indoor air quality, install attic insulation, install window solar films, repair or replace inefficient cooling units, repair or replace water heaters and address air infiltration with weather stripping, caulking thresholds, minor wall repairs, ceiling and floors, windows and doors. License Requirements - At the time of Bid and pursuant to the requirements of Section 10-3 of the Code of Miami-Dade County, Florida and Request for Price Quotation (RPQ) and Contract Documents, the Bidder and all its subcontractor must hold a valid, current, and active State and/or Miami-Dade County contractors license consistent with the requirements of the Scope of Work. Ferreira - Telephone No.: (305) 876-7322 RPQ No. AC075F - MIA Bldg 719 40-Year Recertification ESTIMATED COST: $192,294.71 LICENSE REQUIREMENT: General Building Contractor; Building Contractor; General Engineering SCOPE OF WORK: Scope of Work shall include, but not be limited to: Provide all labor, equipment and materials for the architectural, structural and electrical work required for MIA Building 719 as recommended from the 40-Year Recertification Inspection Report. CONTRACTOR shall review all documents and scope of work provided by Miami-Dade Aviation Department (MDAD) for work to be completed. Please refer to the Plans for further description of the scope of work. Contractors must agree to perform all work in accordance with the scopes of work established by MDAD, the MCC 7360 contracts terms and conditions, all required permits and inspections and all applicable federal, state and local laws, codes and regulations. For the MCC 7360 General Contract Conditions, refer to the following link website Any minor variation in the scope of work that is necessary to complete the intended work shall be considered incidental and will not warrant additional compensation. Any major variation encountered in the scope of work that is necessary to complete the intended work will be additional work and will be compensated through a contingency allowance account, dedicated allowance account, or change order. However, such major variation shall be completed without delay. Contractor shall use an adequate number of qualified workers who are thoroughly trained in the techniques required to properly complete the work specified. Contractor will own or have access to the equipment necessary and to meet all safety, insurance, and technical requirements of the owner and local, county, state, and federal regulating authorities. The grand total bid price shall be reflected on the RPQ Bid Form - Attachment 5A.
