GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORK The major work will consist of the following: Paving Improvements: Approximately 17,000 SY of 6" concrete pavement, 10,000 SY of 7.5" concrete pavement, lime-treated subgrade, barrier free ramps, concrete sidewalks, and related work. The above Improvements are a part of the "Plans for the Construction of Water, Sewer, Paving, Drainage, and Street Light Improvements to Serve Morningstar North Phase 1W", as prepared by Pape-Dawson Engineers. Bids received after the closing time will be returned unopened. Each Bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or a certified or cashier's check, acceptable to the District, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount bid, as a guarantee that the successful bidder will enter into the Contract and execute the Bonds on the forms provided and provide the required insurance certificates within seven (7) days after the date the Contractor is notified. QUALIFICATIONS OF BIDDERS To demonstrate Bidder's qualifications to perform work, Bidders shall submit written evidence such as financial data, previous experience, present commitments, and other such data as may be called for in this contract document with bid.
