The work to be performed under this contract includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following: 1. Hydraulic dredging 2. Mechanical dredging 3. Environmental Protection 4. Maintenance and operation of spoil sites during dredging A. This dredge project includes maintenance dredging and some first cut dredging at the Tampa Port Authority. The Base Bid Scope includes dredging 65 deep draft berth locations within the Port area when requested by The Authority. Historically, the Port performs approximately 100,000 cubic yards of dredging each year with each berth typically being maintenance dredged on a three (3) year cycle. The Contract will be for one year with options to extend for two additional years for a maximum duration of three years unless otherwise extended by Port Tampa Bay. The dredging unit prices (items D1- D9) will be good for the Contract duration with the rates adjusted for the 2nd and 3rd year of the Contract based upon the percentage change of the Fuel Index as per Article 7 of the Contract.
