**As of June 18, 2025, the project was awarded to Western Earthworks, with an awarded amount of $888,717.92.** DESCRIPTION OF WORK The work to be done under this bid shall consist of furnishing all labor, material, equipment and incidentals required to perform the following tasks: The Town of Amherst has been awarded a fiscal year (FY) 25/26 Massachusetts Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness (MVP) grant to construct replacement crossings at Middle Street over an unnamed tributary to Plum Brook and Potwine Lane over Muddy Brook. The Middle Street existing stream crossing is a 24-inch circular corrugated metal pipe culvert. The proposed replacement structure is a 9.5-foot-span by 5.5-foot-rise concrete box culvert with a natural channel bed. The Potwine Lane existing stream crossing consists of two (2) 58-inch-span, 33-inch-rise elliptical corrugated metal pipes in poor condition. The proposed replacement structure is a 9.5-foot-span by 6-foot-rise concrete box culvert with a natural channel bed.
