The Town of Burlington, MA, DPW - Engineering Division invites bids for the service described in the Public Works specification for Phase 2B-24" Watermain replacement project The Project includes the following Work: Replacement of approximately 5,200 linear feet of 10-inch asbestos cement water main with 24- inch cement lined ductile iron water main along the Middlesex Turnpike from Adams Street to Burlington Mall Road, including valves, hydrants, services, appurtenances, and restoration. Installation of approximately 800 linear feet of 16-inch cement lined ductile iron water main on Burlington Mall Road from the Middlesex Turnpike intersection to Great Meadow Road, including valves, hydrants, services, appurtenances, and restoration. Replacement of a 16-inch butterfly valve at 121 Middlesex Turnpike, including appurtenances and restoration. Construction of a below grade venturi flow meter vault on Adams Street for the water distribution interconnection with the Town of Lexington. Construction of a below grade flow control vault on Adams Street for the water distribution interconnection with the Town of Lexington. Venturi flow meter vault and flow control vault work to be completed prior to water main replacement/installation.
