Site work and new construction of an office development in Jamestown, North Carolina. Working plans call for the construction of a 70,000-square-foot office development; and for site work for a office development.

Construction materials testing and special inspections for the new 70,000 sq. ft. facility at the Cameron Campus to relocate the Aviation program currently located in the AVII and Ceasar Cone II Buildings. Work included but not limited to the following services, and all work shall be performed in accordance with the project specifications and plans: Earthwork/Foundations: 1. Perform appropriate laboratory testing on materials for use as fill, backfill, and paving subgrade in accordance with project specifications. 2. Observe conditions of bottom excavations prior to foundation preparation, including proof-rolling and other subgrades testing. 3. Evaluate foundation bearing conditions with a Dynamic Cone Penetrometer (ASTM STP 399). 4. Observe placement of fill and backfill. 5. Perform in-place density test as required by project specifications. 6. Where deficiencies are noted during fill and backfill placement, suggest and observe remedial actions, including reworking and compacting. 7. Provide documentation of events. 8. Observe foundation drainage and drainage materials. 9. Observe the placement of fill and backfill to test compliance with project specifications. Special Inspections: 1. The qualifications of all personnel performing special inspections and testing activities are subject to the approval of the Building Officials. The credentials of all inspectors and testing technicians shall be provided prior to starting any work and submitted to the Authority Having Jurisdiction for approval. 2. Special inspections shall be in accordance with the project specifications and plans. 3. Special inspections shall include but are not limited to the following: a. Soils and foundations b. Shallow foundations c. Controlled structural fill d. Cast-in-place concrete e. Reinforcement installation f. Structural steel g. Fabricator certification verification h. Metal certification verification i. Bolting j. Welding Estimated Construction Budget $27.2 Million
